Geography of NYC is taught annually at Hunter College (CUNY) and is open to undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to lectures and readings, students follow a number of assigned walks and lead a walk in a specific neighborhood. An abbreviated version of Geography of NYC is taught as an adult education class at the Municipal Art Society.

Ground Proof is taught intermittently to GIS professionals in the NYC area and to others interested in the discontinuities of mapped variables in the city. This is a two day course spent entirely in the field where topographic, historic, demographic and economic change is greatest.
